Dating to the F/W 1989 collection, this stunning & incredibly rare Callaghan cape coat was designed by Romeo Gigli during his tenure as head designer for the label and was inspired by the Byzantine Empress Theodora. Made from luxe silk shantung in a rich shade of deep fuchsia, this features jewel toned hand embroidery throughout and is finished with a tasseled silk fringe trim. Constructed in a softly tailored cocoon shape that was one of Gigli's design signatures, this features a dramatic oversized collar which also functions as a hood. A dramatic & romantic statement piece, this is fully lined and made in Italy.
