An iconic Chanel runway dress from Karl Lagerfeld’s S/S 1996 collection, crafted in pale pink cotton and illustrated throughout with a playful 'icons' print celebrating the house’s most recognisable codes: quilted handbags, pearls, bows, two-tone pumps, camellias and interlocking CC logos. Cut in a feminine fit and flare silhouette with a collared neckline, branded logo front zip closure, twin chest pockets emblazoned with the CC motif, nipped waist and detachable matching belt. The full skirt is finished with a softly gathered tier at the hem.
This design appeared on the S/S 1996 runway in both pink and blue, with the blue version famously worn by Kate Moss. The distinctive Chanel icons print also appeared in the season’s advertising campaign shot by Karl Lagerfeld and featuring Shalom Harlow and Amber Valletta. Made in France.
