A rare and exquisitely preserved example of early 60's Chanel Haute Couture, this S/S 1963 two-piece skirt suit encapsulates the architectural simplicity and quiet luxury that defined Coco Chanel’s final decades of design. Crafted in a pale peach-cream bouclé with signature horizontal overstitching, the jacket features a clean round neckline, straight body, and perfectly balanced proportions. Four front pockets are accented with luminous gilt-metal buttons - mirrored, domed and intricately formed as expected from couture of this era. The matching A-line skirt mirrors the same stitched lattice texture for a fully resolved silhouette. As with all authentic Chanel Haute Couture of the period, the jacket is fully lined in quilted silk charmeuse, meticulously hand-stitched and anchored by the iconic gold chain at the interior hem. This refined internal architecture gives the piece its distinctive, effortless drape - an innovation Chanel pioneered and that remains a hallmark of the house today.
