Undoubtedly one of the most iconic collections produced by Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel in the 90's, the S/S 1995 collection - also referred to as the Barbie collection for its 'tiny and body-conscious' aesthetic to quote the designer himself - has become insanely popular and sought after by vintage collectors in the past few years, with pieces now selling for tens of thousands of dollars. This S/S 1995 suit, which puts the fantasy in 'fantasy tweed', comprises a jacket which is cut narrow & form fitting through the torso and a classic pencil skirt, both made from lilac, cream, black, red, yellow & green tweed with purple silk CC logo lining and black & gold CC logo statement buttons. A runway piece, this also appeared in the campaign for the season worn by Claudia Schiffer, and the pink version was recently worn by newly minted pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo to the White House amid much fanfare from the media.
