Established in 2000 by designer Julie Wilkins, cult UK label Future Classics swiftly achieved acclaim for cleverly constructed jersey pieces based on exploring and extending the grammar of the t-shirt. This uniquely constructed dress is a stellar example of the label's early output and the DIY aesthetic that characterised early 00's fashion. Made of grey marle cotton jersey, it features a scoop neckline and doubled sleeves with panelling through the bust. The back of the dress features a multi-layered frilled 'bustle' framing an ultra abbreviated skirt. An effortlessly cool piece, this works equally as well layered as worn on its own.
