Dating to the 80's, this gorgeous dress was created by US designer Arnold Scaasi who was known for his elaborate evening wear confections worn by celebrity clientele including Barbra Streisand, Elizabeth Taylor and Joan Crawford. This dress was produced under his Couture mainline label and is immaculately constructed from high end materials. An off the shoulder style, it features sheer lace bracelet length sleeves, boning through the bodice and cascading lace ruffles at the neckline and below the waist. The full skirt sits above the knee and achieves its volume via the underpinnings of a structured crinoline and layers of tulle. Dramatic and extremely chic, this is a true statement piece that is guaranteed to make its wearer feel divine. Hand stitched and fully lined in silk.
