Dating to the Chanel Cruise 2020 collection, this royal blue tweed multi pocket jacket is from Virginie Viard’s debut collection for the house following Karl Lagerfeld’s passing. Seen on the runway and featured in the Cruise 2020 campaign, the jacket became one of the collection’s most recognisable pieces, later appearing in editorials and worn by Chanel ambassadors including Lily-Rose Depp, Jennie and Kristen Stewart. Cut in a cropped, collarless silhouette from electric blue mélange tweed woven to resemble faded denim, the silhouette references classic field and safari jackets through its structured shoulders, multiple flap pockets and silver-tone Chanel button hardware.

Balancing classic Chanel construction with a more youthful, utility-inspired shape, the jacket is fully lined in tonal camellia silk and finished with the house’s precise internal construction. A significant piece from an important transitional collection, marking the beginning of Viard’s tenure while retaining the codes of Chanel tailoring: tweed, texture, proportion and collectible runway provenance.
