Dating to 2010, this Marc Jacobs main label jacket was part of a very limited edition holiday capsule collection made exclusively for high end departments including Bergdorf Goodman in New York & Harvey Nichols in London. The identical piece was worn by Selena Gomez in the 2011 movie 'Monte Carlo' and in a documentary about the film's fashion she mentions that only three of this exact style were made & one was used for the movie. She may be right - we have spotted a few of the longer versions of this jacket floating around the internet but have never seen this ultra cropped bolero version anywhere else!
Crafted from black, white & silver metallic tweed and lined in cream silk, the construction on this piece is jaw dropping - it features cut-out panels that are fastened together with inset pearl beads, a notched mandarin collar, and pointed sleeves and faux pockets that are also embellished with pearl & bead droplets. Perfect for holiday dressing, this is a special & unique piece that is sure to be a conversation starter.
