A very special piece created by legendary London textile & fashion designer Zandra Rhodes, this beautiful dress dates to the later half of the seventies, most likely from her Mexican collections between 1976-78. Crafted from silk chiffon, the dress is hand printed in turquoise & hot pink on a scarlet background and features a deep-v neckline with floaty sleeves, a handkerchief hem and elasticated waistband. The sleeves and bottom hem feature pink pearl droplets and the neckline is also embellished with opalescent pink feather & flower appliqués & sparkly crystals. Partially lined through the bodice, it also includes an elasticated skirt lining which can be doubled over to create more volume & a sheer look below the thigh. Completely handmade in the UK to demi-couture specifications, this dress is very similar to one worn by Mary Kate Olsen to the 'Charlie's Angels' premiere in 2003.
