An extremely special & museum worthy piece, this exceptional dress dates to the F/W 1991 Atelier Versace (Haute Couture) collection dubbed 'Couture Gladiators'. Highly documented, it was worn by Linda Evangelista on the runway and by Christy Turlington in the campaign for that season, and was also worn by Lady Gaga in 2013. Crafted entirely from silk, the bodice of the dress is a heavier weight silk embroidered with thousands of sparkly Swarovski crystals and gold studs, while the skirt is made from pleated silk chiffon completely covered in tiny gold studded circles. A substantial and weighty piece, the beauty in the impeccable construction is that it still appears light & airy on the body and is a dream to wear. An excellent example of Gianni Versace's early work, this is an extremely rare & sought after vintage collector’s item and would make the perfect reception dress for a couture loving bride. Made in Italy.
