From the Céline S/S 2012 collection designed by Phoebe Philo, these platform heels feature black suede uppersset on sculptural red leather platforms with substantial block heels. Similar styles appeared on the runway and in the season’s campaign, where exaggerated platforms were used throughout the collection to offset Philo’s clean, architectural ready-to-wear. A strong example of early 2010s Céline footwear, these shoes combine minimal construction with bold proportion and graphic colour contrast.
