A super rare piece dating to the 80's, this dress was sold in Australia via the label and retail outlet Merivale, but was likely imported from and created by London designers 'Swanky Modes' who began producing this style - known as the 'Amorphous' dress - in 1983. Best known for appearing on actress Linda Kozlowski in the 1986 movie 'Crocodile Dundee', a version of this dress is also held in the permanent collection of the V&A Museum.
The dress is made from super stretchy lycra/nylon jersey in an eyecatching shade of coral, and features cut-outs all the way down the side from the neck to the thighs. Form-fitting and extremely daring, this was a popular choice for young nightclub-goers through the 1980's and is still perfectly suited to a wild night of dancing.
