When Roberto Cavalli started his eponymous label in the 70's, it had a rich hippie aesthetic that stemmed from a revolutionary printing process he developed and patented for printing on leather. Cavlli began to create patchwork pieces of different materials using this unique process, and this coat is an excellent example of that early work. Made from black and floral printed suede, it features metallic embroidery work, gold crochet inserts and a large leather panel on the back printed with pastel toned roses and violets. It also has two hip pockets and is devoid of fastenings. Completely handmade in Italy, this is a rare & collectible 70's Cavalli piece.
