F/W 1986/87 leopard print quilted coat
This fabulous coat is a unique and rare piece by collectible designer Patrick Kelly, the first American and the first person 0f colour to be admitted to the prestigious ‘Chambre syndicale du prêt-à-porter des couturiers et des créateurs de mode’ – the governing body for the French fashion industry. Dating to the autumn/winter 1986/87 collection, modelled by none other than Naomi Campbell and exhibited in the Philadelphia Museum of Art Patrick Kelly retrospective, this is oversized, quilted and fully lined with a slouchy shape, hip pockets and no fastenings. Perfect for winter, this coat is completely on trend and is a collectible vintage designer alternative to the oversized puffer jacket.
