Haute Couture numbered silk & lace dress
Dating to the 70’s, this numbered Givenchy Haute Couture dress was designed by none other than the revered couturier Hubert De Givenchy himself. Made from maroon silk, this features lace sleeves and bodice, with silk ruffles at the bust and hem and a jagged lace handkerchief hem. An amzing piece of vintage designer history, this is as wearable as it is collectible.
Marked size: none
Best for: XS/S
Measurements (laid flat & fastened): shouders: 18″/46cm, bust: 16.5″/42cm, waist: 15″/38cm, hips: 18″/46cm, length: 56″/142cm, sleeve length = 19″/48cm
Condition: Very Good; there is damage to the rear of the dress where it fastens with invisible snaps – the silk has torn and is discoloured in a few tiny spots – it has been repaired, but the repair is imperfect. Due to the age and delicate nature of the silk, we would reccomend that the new owner of this beautiful dress replace the snaps with an invisible zipper for ease of wear – however we have left this for the new buyer to decide. Other than this the dress is completely structural sound and very wearable.
