Dating to Azzedine Alaïa's celebrated F/W 1986 collection, this rare two piece ensemble exemplifies the designer's pioneering approach to body conscious tailoring through knitwear. Expertly crafted from an ultra-fine stretch wool, the set comprises a sculpting long sleeved bodysuit paired with matching high waisted leggings. 

The bodysuit features a classic crew neckline and elongated sleeves, with carefully engineered seam detailing beneath the bust and across the upper arms that subtly contours the silhouette while maintaining remarkable comfort and freedom of movement. It fastens at the back with a concealed zip and a G-string snap closure, allowing the garment to disappear seamlessly beneath clothing. The coordinating leggings sit high on the waist with an elasticated waistband and articulated panel construction that echoes the bodysuit's sculptural lines. Together, the two pieces create an uninterrupted silhouette that became one of Alaïa's defining signatures during the 1980's. Beautiful worn together or incorporated separately into a contemporary wardrobe.
